A healthcare organization in Peterborough is seeking a dedicated Sustainability Manager to lead initiatives on environmental sustainability and implement the Trust's Green Plan. This role requires expertise in sustainability practices, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering quality healthcare. The candidate will work across multiple hospital sites to enhance the organization's sustainability efforts.

North West Anglia Foundation Trust are seeking to appoint a Sustainability Manager to implement our green plan and to transform sustainability across the three sites at Peterborough (excluding Peterborough City Hospital), Stamford & Rutland Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
The Trust has aspirations to become one of the most sustainable Trusts in the NHS and there is significant scope to improve our sustainability performance.
We are looking for an individual who, whilst adhering to our Trust Values and Behaviours, will drive transformational change in sustainability and Carbon emissions. You will have a passionate commitment to providing excellent, quality services in an acute healthcare environment, both as an individual and as a team player.
You will possess a ‘can do’ attitude and have the ability to get things done effectively, efficiently and right first time. You will need to be flexible in your approach and the job will entail travel between sites to ensure we are working to the required standards across the Trust.
You must have a passion for sustainability and the drive to make a difference.
Be the Trust-wide lead and provide expert knowledge on all aspects of environmental sustainability which will require making judgments involving complex facts or a situation which relate to environmental sustainability - requiring analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options.
The post holder must have a passion for sustainability and will be responsible for driving the implementation of the Trust’s Green Plan. It is essential that the post-holder progresses the organisation toward Net Zero and decarbonisation.
