We are looking for a passionate Sustainability Manager to join our high performing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the corporate and customer-oriented sustainability initiatives for Hilti Great Britain with the strategic goal to become our customers’ best partner for sustainability.

What does the role involve?

As the Sustainability Manager, you will create tangible impact by working closely with our customers. Your understanding of sustainability, the regulatory environment, and customer needs will be crucial. You will be responsible for localizing strategies and setting clear goals for our sustainability efforts. The role involves:

  1. Implementing global and regional strategies aligned with the British market
  2. Developing a go-to market approach in collaboration with sales and marketing teams
  3. Serving as an internal and external expert on sustainability topics
  4. Monitoring research, legislation, and market development
  5. Working with communication teams to engage stakeholders
  6. Collaborating with logistics, after-market services, procurement, and internal sustainability teams to improve processes
  7. Representing Hilti within the regional and global sustainability community

What you need to have:

  • A degree in business, marketing, environmental science, environmental engineering, or related field
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in the construction industry, including regulations, lifecycle assessments, and green building certifications
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing strategies within complex organizations
  • Experience in creating customized solutions with customers
  • Existing network of decision-makers in the British construction sustainability sector is a plus
  • Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
