Job Description
Renfrewshire Council are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to play a leading role in the Council's journey to Net Zero. This exciting new role offers the opportunity to work with local partners, services and community stakeholders to promote the journey to Net Zero and develop local networks and connections to drive sustainable outcomes.
As Sustainability Lead Officer (Stakeholder Engagement) you will manage Sustainability Project Officers and will have a specific responsibility for leading and developing an innovative and comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy and action plan for Renfrewshire's journey to Net Zero.
Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, you will lead on a programme of internal engagement within the Council to promote positive behaviours, change programmes and initiatives to support the council's Net Zero ambitions and programme of work.
You will be responsible for identifying and promoting opportunities for individuals and groups to become more active in their local community, to come together and develop shared aspirations for their local area and for supporting groups as they develop and achieve their Net Zero aspirations.
You will support the Sustainability Manager in forging strong and effective partnerships and working relationships with Elected Members, Senior Managers, partner organisations and other community planning partners and in developing the capacity, skills and effective working of the employees within the service.
