Job summary

University of Birmingham is seeking a researcher to join the School of Metallurgy and Materials to work on the SuMaCer project. The role involves embedding life cycle thinking across the project, gathering data for LCA, and advising on sustainability improvements to processes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of life cycle assessment and/or technoeconomic assessment and/or materials flow analysis.
• Strong analytical capability with batteries/manufacturing/recycling processes.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly for academic and non-academic audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and co-ordinate research activities and programmes.
• Analyse and interpret research findings and results.
• Publish results of own research and contribute to generating funding.
