Job summary

Transport for London invites applications for its Sustainability Graduate Scheme in London. The two-year programme offers four to five placements across TfL, focusing on embedding sustainability in decisions and services that keep London moving. Hybrid working balances office and home, with rotations in Environment & Sustainability, Investment Planning and more.

Start date 6 September 2027. Applicants should have at least a 2.2 degree in a relevant field and must have the right to work in the UK

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.2 degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Geography, Business Management, STEM, Economics or Finance, Design or Architecture, Town or Development Planning, Project Management or similar.

Responsibilities

• Two-year development programme with four or five placements lasting 4–6 months each.
• Placements across TfL to gain experience in diverse departments.
• Exposure to environments like Environment & Sustainability, Investment Planning, Technology Products and Operations, Transport Strategy and Policy, and Property Development.
• Includes up to a week of shifts with Customer Service Assistants in a central London Underground station.
