V7 is seeking an experienced Environmental Officer on behalf of our client, operating in the Manufacturing Industry. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary, 5 weeks of annual leave, and unique company benefits.

Responsibilities

1. Environmental Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor and evaluate environmental performance, including emissions and wastewater discharge compliance.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory authorities, internal stakeholders, and sustainability partners on time.

Regulatory Compliance

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental legislation and advise management on regulatory changes and implications.
• Implement measures to mitigate risks related to existing and new regulatory requirements.

Audits & Inspections

• Conduct site inspections and internal audits to identify risks, non-compliance, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support external inspections or audits by regulatory or certification bodies.

Waste Management

• Oversee the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Promote resource efficiency, waste reduction, and recycling initiatives.

Incident Investigation

• Investigate environmental incidents or non-conformances, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain records of spills, emissions, and incidents, ensuring proper follow-up.

Training & Awareness

• Develop and deliver environmental training programs for staff.
• Foster a culture valuing environmental responsibility and sustainability.
