Job Description

Join our global Crop Protection (CP) Sustainability Business Partners (BPs) team as the Sustainability Data & Analytics Lead. You'll develop and implement tools delivering crucial insights for sustainable portfolio development, with special focus on our Portfolio Sustainability Framework (PSF). This framework provides transparency to external stakeholders on our portfolio's sustainability profile while facilitating internal decision-making.

Key Accountabilities

Portfolio Sustainability Framework (PSF)

  • Own the CP PSF technical platform, including Qlik tools, data models, and automation with other tools and our data lake (GAIA - data bricks).
  • Develop global and regional dashboards delivering actionable insights supporting business processes (KPI setting, improvement plans, stage gate promotions).
  • Deliver data engineering solutions to drive further automation of PSF platform and simulation tools.
  • Explore AI opportunities to enhance productivity and workflows.
  • Perform technical and data quality checks ensuring reliable PSF reports delivery.
  • Maintain robust documentation, SOPs, and support models for the PSF.

Sustainability Data Solutions Operations

  • Define and implement sustainability data acquisition strategy, including farmer practice data supporting metrics like carbon emissions and biodiversity.
  • Collaborate with internal/external partners on digital tools and methodologies (e.g., Cool Farm Alliance, AgroLens, Cropwise).
  • Work closely with Sustainability BPs to provide data and insights across all product lines.
  • Support development of tools enabling accurate reporting on Syngenta Group's sustainability priorities.
  • Understand stakeholder needs to develop or improve solutions for data tools, analytics and modeling.

Qualifications

Experience & Expertise:

  • Data engineering and visualization skills (Python/R/dash, SQL, Qlik, cloud services like AWS).
  • Experience with simulations and "what-if" scenarios; Machine Learning and predictive analytics preferred.

  • Managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
