Job summary

Timely Recruit Ltd is seeking a Sustainability Consultant – Carbon & Net Zero to join a leading consultancy in London. You will help clients measure, report and reduce greenhouse gas emissions while developing practical Net Zero strategies.

In this client-facing role you will deliver carbon footprints across Scope 1-3, build GHG inventories, and translate complex data into meaningful business insights to support SECR, CDP and SBTi submissions.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate carbon accounting or sustainability consulting.
• Strong knowledge of Scope 1, 2 and 3 reporting.
• Experience applying the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-1.
• Familiarity with reporting frameworks such as SECR, CDP, SBTi, IFRS S2 or CSRD.
• Proficient Excel and data analysis with large datasets.
• Excellent written communication and report writing.
• Confident presenting technical information to clients and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Keep up to date with evolving carbon accounting standards and climate reporting requirements.

About the Role

We are seeking a Sustainability Consultant – Carbon & Net Zero to join a leading sustainability consultancy, supporting organisations with corporate carbon accounting, Net Zero strategy and decarbonisation planning.

This is a client-facing consulting role where you'll work with a diverse portfolio of organisations, helping them measure, report and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions while developing practical, commercially focused Net Zero strategies.

You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality carbon accounting projects, producing assurance-ready outputs and working closely with clients to translate complex data into meaningful business insights.

• Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with experience working with large datasets.
• Excellent written communication and report writing skills.
• Confident presenting technical information to clients and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience within sustainability consultancy or a client-facing environment is highly desirable.
