MorePeople is seeking a Sustainability Consultant in London to help embed sustainability into development design. You will work with clients and project teams on whole life carbon, circular economy, BREEAM and related planning submissions.

You will undertake carbon modelling, develop circular economy strategies, and manage BREEAM assessments, while communicating complex data to diverse audiences and supporting project teams across Greengage.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a role with similar sustainability responsibilities.
• Experience delivering projects involving building sustainability design and carbon assessment.
• Able to undertake whole life carbon assessments and interpret results.
• Understanding of circular economy principles and their application across project types.
• Experience producing BREEAM pre-assessments and managing certification.

As a Sustainability Consultant, you'll work with clients and project teams to improve environmental performance and embed sustainability into development design. Your work will cover whole life carbon, circular economy, BREEAM and wider sustainability advice.

The Role

• Undertake whole life carbon modelling and options appraisals, interpreting outcomes to inform design optioneering
• Develop and apply circular economy strategies and principles across a range of projects
• Produce whole life carbon assessments, circular economy statements, sustainability statements and other planning submissions
• Manage BREEAM assessments
• Monitor project progress against agreed aims and report regularly to line managers
• Provide technical input and practical solutions to sustainability challenges
• Liaise with clients, consultants and external stakeholders to obtain information and keep project teams updated
• Contribute to wider project teams and work across the sustainability team and Greengage more broadly
• Communicate technical information and design requirements clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

About You

• 2+ years' experience in a role with similar sustainability responsibilities
• Experience delivering projects involving building sustainability design, carbon assessment, net zero transition and sustainability advisory
• Able to undertake whole life carbon assessments and interpret the results to inform design decisions
• Good understanding of circular economy principles and their application across different project types
• Experience producing BREEAM pre-assessments, running workshops and managing the certification process
• Understanding of NABERS, the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard
