Job summary

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays in Leeds City Centre are seeking a Sustainability Apprentice to join our Journey to Net Zero team in a hybrid role.

You will work towards a Level 4 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner Apprenticeship over 15-20 months, supporting the Sustainability team and stewarding local champions.

This apprenticeship develops data analysis, reporting, stakeholder engagement and ISO 14001 activities while you gain practical experience across the business.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at grade A-C (9-4).
• Genuine interest in sustainability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
• Must have been a resident in the UK for three years.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Sustainability team and other departments to promote the company’s Journey to Net Zero strategy and other initiatives.
• Coordinate the company’s network of colleague Sustainability Champions.
• Monitor industry and market trends on sustainability.
• Support the team with continued certification to ISO 14001.
• Help collate and analyse environmental data for annual reporting.
• Engage with our charity partners to achieve company fundraising goals.
