We are seeking a proactive and innovative Sustainability and Natural Environment Manager to support the Head of Place and Sustainability in the strategic planning, management, and development of the Place and Sustainability division. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will work effectively with partners to develop and contribute to plans, projects, and practices that benefit Carmarthenshire's natural environment in response to climate and nature emergencies. Your role will involve fostering a culture of innovation, ensuring the service has the required skills and capability, and managing the performance and budgets of the Sustainability and Natural Environment service.

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of the Council's response to climate change and nature emergencies, ensuring the efficient delivery of statutory and non-statutory functions. You will oversee the delivery of professional natural environment functions, manage advice on major infrastructure projects, and stay updated with relevant legislation and best practices. Additionally, you will manage budgets, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and represent the Authority at regional levels on natural environment matters. Your ability to foster and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders will be crucial in delivering the Authority's corporate climate change and natural environment objectives.
