Sustainability and Environmental Graduate
The Role

This role plays a key part in advising on sustainable practices and ensuring environmental compliance, while championing innovation and eco-friendly initiatives. You will support the development and implementation of sustainable strategies across the business, helping drive positive environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental Strategy:
    Develop and implement environmental management plans that support sustainability goals and comply with ISO 14001 and industry standards. Use your expertise to inspire cultural transformation and integrate sustainable behaviours and tools across the Omexom business.
  • Audits and Assessments:
    Conduct environmental audits and impact assessments across projects to identify risks and propose effective mitigation measures.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure all statutory permissions, consents, licences, and exemptions are obtained and maintained in line with legal requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to embed a culture of environmental responsibility. Act as the main point of contact for regulatory authorities on environmental matters.
  • Coaching & Training:
    Deliver engaging training sessions and workshops on environmental policies, waste management, and resource optimisation.
  • Waste Management:
    Oversee the implementation of Site Waste Management Plans, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of waste processes.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and determination to grow within a structured Graduate Programme.
  • Working towards (or recently completed) a recognised qualification in Environmental Management or a related discipline.
  • Awareness of environmental and carbon legislation, with an understanding of the broader climate change agenda.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation, best practices, and regulatory frameworks.
