About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sustainability Analyst to join the Sustainability Team at DS Smith, to help global customers deliver on their decarbonisation and sustainability ambitions by providing them with tailored performance data.

Coming from a background in carbon and environmental analysis and reporting, you will support the business to leverage its sustainability credentials and performance data to meet customer disclosure and product traceability requirements. You will review and compile data from across the business and prepare high quality reports to help internal colleagues and our customers understand and communicate our sustainability performance. You will manage the disclosure of this information via individual data requests and platforms and help to further develop data visualisations. Using your experience of data analysis, you will share insights with internal teams and create insightful presentations for our customers and the wider business.

To succeed in this role, you need to be confident in ambiguous situations, be highly organised and be able to engage effectively with people at all levels.

About you

  • Degree in related field (Engineering, Environmental Science, or a Sustainability related discipline).

  • Knowledge of carbon and environmental accounting standards and experience in reporting.

  • Previous experience in sustainability-related fields (ideally manufacturing).

  • Understanding of sustainability data and IT systems.

  • Very strong numerical and analytical skills - Excel and ideally Power BI.

  • Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to work independently and comfortable building strong working relationships with colleagues around the business.
