Role: Sustainability Analyst
Location: Portsmouth
Duration: 18-month Maternity cover
Salary: £45,000
ARM are delighted to be supporting one of our clients with the recruitment of a Sustainability Analyst to cover maternity leave for 18 months.
The Sustainability Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving the business’s sustainability initiatives, focusing on climate change, economic, and social impacts.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide leadership on sustainability issues, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies regarding climate change and social responsibility.
- Actively engage in the business’s Sustainability committee to promote sustainability initiatives across the organisation.
- Develop and implement an environmental sustainability strategy, incorporating best practices and innovative solutions.
- Review and enhance the existing sustainability strategy to reflect current trends and future opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain reporting frameworks on sustainability indicators and KPIs, tracking performance and progress against targets.
- Prepare sustainability disclosures for annual accounts.
- Prepare the annual TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) report.
About you:
- Several years of experience in sustainability roles, demonstrating a proven track record of delivering against NetZero Transition Plans and sustainability disclosures.
- Experience with TCFD reporting.
- Experience with UN Sustainability model and reporting.
- Experience with SBT’s (Science Based Targets) to enhance corporate sustainability strategy and align the business’s strategic goals.
- Relevant sustainability or environmental management qualifications (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 50001).
- Extensive knowledge of climate change, carbon footprint reduction, and sustainable business practices.
- Experience in engaging with EcoVadis, CSR, and ESG initiatives, which all form part of the ‘sustainability’ strategy for the business.
