Job description

Job Title: Sustainability Analyst

Location: Aylesford, Kent

Working Hours: 8am - 4.30pm

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and analytical Sustainability Analyst to join our team and support transformative change across industries. This role offers the opportunity to apply your knowledge of ESG and sustainability, contributing to initiatives that drive meaningful environmental and social progress.

In this role, you will conduct research and analysis, deliver insights through presentations, and gain experience in how businesses improve their sustainability performance. You will need a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex projects effectively.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of their work, show curiosity, and propose solutions based on research. A commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous learning is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Help implement sustainability strategies and embed sustainability by design into processes.
  2. Contribute to developing best practices based on internal sustainability assessments.
  3. Assist in data collection for a global business, including working with supply chain data.
  4. Implement carbon reduction projects.
  5. Support environmental certification and documentation processes.
  6. Report on sustainability trends, objectives, and key results, providing recommendations for improvement.
  7. Compile and analyze data to produce detailed sustainability reports.
  8. Drive process improvements and internal initiatives to promote sustainable practices.
  9. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in carbon emissions and sustainability.
  10. Perform other tasks to support the team and wider business as needed.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field.
  2. Proven experience in sustainability or environmental management.
  3. Well-informed on current sustainability topics and business environments.
  4. Strong analytical, planning, and project management skills with attention to detail.
  5. Proactive attitude and willingness to contribute.
  6. Effective communicator with a flexible approach and ability to build rapport at all levels.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Alignment with company values: teamwork, commitment, ownership, positivity, responsiveness.
