We are looking for an experienced Associate Technical Director to join our growing Energy Transition team, working with clients ranging from the public sector to large portfolio investors. This role involves working closely with partners including developers, building managers, fund managers, and organizational sustainability leads to improve the sustainable performance of buildings, estates, and portfolios. The ideal candidate will have practical experience supporting clients on their Net Zero Carbon journey and possess leadership skills to support our team’s growth and development.

You will play an integral role in supporting clients with technical strategic decision-making, developing work, and delivering against client ambitions. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Technical Leadership: Asset decarbonisation, net zero audits, building thermal modelling, renewable assessments, heat decarbonisation, energy storage. Stay updated on technological developments to enhance service delivery and support innovation.
  2. Project Delivery: Manage various project sizes, ensuring proper resourcing, skills, and quality control.
  3. Business Growth and Opportunity Development: Support team growth through market opportunities, develop growth strategies, marketing, client plans, and engagement.
  4. Business Development: Lead pursuits, including complex and multi-disciplinary bids.
  5. Team Leadership and Management: Mentor and train team members in technical and consultancy skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Technical Experience: Leadership in asset decarbonisation, renewable energy, thermal modelling, EPC, MEES, energy systems, and organizational change.
  2. Commercial Delivery Advice: Financial modelling, business case development, and options analysis.
  3. Project and Programme Management: Managing large projects with attention to resourcing, quality, and finance.
  4. Business Development and Marketing: Strategy development, client engagement, and pursuit management.
  5. People Development: Supporting team skill development and career growth.
