We are looking for an experienced Associate Technical Director to join our growing Energy Transition team, working with a range of clients including public sector entities and large portfolio investors. This role involves collaborating closely with developers, building managers, fund managers, and organizational sustainability leads to enhance the sustainable performance of buildings, estates, and portfolios. Practical experience in supporting clients on their Net Zero Carbon journey and leadership skills to support our team's growth are essential.

Addressing climate change, urbanization, and biodiversity loss, we aim to mitigate large-scale events like floods and wildfires. Your role will include providing technical strategic support to clients, developing work, and delivering on their ambitions. Responsibilities include:

  • Technical leadership: Asset decarbonisation, net zero audits, thermal modelling, renewable assessments, heat decarbonisation, energy storage. Stay updated on technological developments to enhance service delivery and innovate.
  • Project Delivery: Manage projects of various sizes, ensuring proper resourcing, skills, and quality.
  • Business Growth and Opportunity Development: Support team growth through market opportunities, develop strategies, marketing, client engagement, and planning.
  • Business Development: Lead pursuits, including complex bids.
  • Team leadership and management: Mentor and upskill team members in technical and consultancy skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Technical Experience: Leadership in asset decarbonisation, renewable energy, thermal modelling, EPC, MEES, renewable technologies, due diligence, heat networks, energy masterplanning, industrial heat decarbonisation, net zero, and organizational change.
  • Commercial Delivery Advice: Financial modelling, business case development, and options analysis.
  • Project and Programme Management: Managing large teams and projects simultaneously, focusing on resourcing, quality, and finances.
  • Business Development and Marketing: Developing growth strategies, client engagement, and bid coordination.
  • People Development: Supporting team growth, skill development, and career progression.
