Job summary

Solace Women’s Aid is seeking a part-time Group Worker & Coordinator to deliver group sessions for survivors of domestic abuse, including Solace’s ARISE course and peer support groups. You will act as an ambassador for the Islington SASS team, coordinating referrals and safeguarding within group work.

You will coordinate sessions across multiple sites, provide emotional support, assess needs and manage risks, with a passion for survivor-led, trauma-informed practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse.
• Ability to carry out initial assessment of needs and manage group conflicts.
• Ability to organise and deliver various group sessions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver a range of group sessions for survivors of domestic abuse, including ARISE course, peer support groups and wellbeing workshops.
• Act as an external-facing ambassador for the Islington SASS team, identifying appropriate referrals to the group.
• Develop and maintain safeguarding practices and risk management within group settings.
