Job description

Qualified professional support to a Senior Director on a specialist side of the Prime Central London team within UK Residential Valuation, dealing principally with statutory leasehold enfranchisement matters including valuation and negotiations of lease extensions and freehold acquisitions, as well as related advice to institutional and corporate landlords and tenants, including housing associations.

This role would suit an adaptable person with a holistic understanding of the residential market. They must be client-focused, adaptable, and capable of adopting multiple valuation methodologies. The right candidate must have a willingness to learn, be independent and resourceful, highly numerate, and have a keen eye for detail. Fluent report writing, and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, coupled with a desire to take on more responsibility over time. The ability and confidence to progress instructions with minimal supervision will be important. The position is based in our head office at 30 Warwick Street, London W1B, with nationwide coverage.

Required or desirable skills and experience for this role include:

  • MRICS qualification (essential).
  • RICS Registered Valuer.
  • Solid experience in valuing residential property assets using various approaches, including comparison, residual, investment capitalisation, and, ideally, leasehold enfranchisement legislation.
  • Fluent user of MS Excel, with an ability to undertake financial modelling.
  • Excellent written English, with the ability to produce high-quality, accurate reports in MS Word with good attention to detail.
  • Experience of direct client contact (in-person and written communications) and confidence in developing a client and professional network.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • Genuine interest in housing and valuation matters, with a commitment to learning.
  • Strong work ethic and a demonstrable commitment to client service.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a team player.
  • Driving licence.
