Croydon Council is hiring a Disrepair Surveyor to lead technical assessment and progression of disrepair and complex repair cases across residents' homes. We’re looking for an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to lead the technical assessment and progression of disrepair and complex repair cases across our homes.
This is a hands-on, predominantly site-based role. You’ll inspect properties, diagnose defects and take responsibility for ensuring the right remedial works are specified, progressed and completed to the required standard.
You’ll bring significant property maintenance and surveying experience, with strong technical knowledge of building construction, maintenance and the diagnosis of property defects.
An HNC, trade qualification or equivalent building construction/property experience is desirable.
A full driving licence and car insurance covering business use are required. An essential car user allowance applies.
You’ll take on a varied surveying role where your technical expertise has a direct impact on the condition of residents’ homes and the resolution of complex disrepair cases. You’ll work across the full journey - from diagnosis and specification through to contractor delivery, quality assurance and completion - while building experience across legal disrepair and wider property services.
