The Role

Sedgwick specialises in insurance claims management and loss adjusting services. Our Building Consultancy Division provides surveying expertise to assist in all types of building-related insurance claims.

The Surveying Administration Assistant, working alongside surveyors, is responsible for ensuring projects are progressed on time. You will support surveyors in the field and ensure effective communication between clients, customers, suppliers, and contractors. Your duties include managing administration work, ensuring adherence to service standards, and quality checking reports before uploading and issuing to stakeholders.

Reporting to the Senior Project Coordinator, your key tasks will include:

  • Managing the administration of each project to keep work, site visits, tasks, and milestones up to date.
  • Assessing projects and ensuring all information is available for surveyors to progress stages according to standards.
  • Responding to correspondence from customers, clients, surveyors, and suppliers via telephone, email, or letter.
  • Maintaining individual project plans and target dates.
  • Updating systems data in line with company standards and data protection laws.
  • Reviewing outstanding projects and taking necessary actions to progress them.
  • Working with surveyors to meet service standards and maintain fee production.
  • Possessing bi-lingual/multilingual skills is a plus.

This role offers scope within a motivated team, with opportunities to progress into the claims arena. Training is provided initially at the Solent office, with the role being primarily home-based with occasional travel. We support flexible working to promote a healthy work/life balance. The Solent office provides a bright, open environment for collaboration.
