Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers is seeking an experienced Survey Engineer to lead topographical and rail infrastructure surveys across UK projects. You will set up and maintain survey control networks, manage GNSS control and coordinate transformations including SnakeGrid, and produce CAD drawings and survey deliverables.

You will review outputs for quality, provide technical guidance to project teams and collaborate with third-party survey providers to improve methods and standards within Network

Qualifications

• Significant experience in railway surveying.
• Experience leading track and rail infrastructure surveys.
• Strong knowledge of topographical surveying techniques.
• Experience with GNSS control networks and SnakeGrid.
• Point cloud processing and interpretation experience.
• CAD and point cloud software skills.
• Ability to review and assure survey outputs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification.
• Experience working to Network Rail standards.

Location: Hybrid – a mix of site, office and home working (Various locations across UK - Swindon, Cardiff, Birmingham, York)

Travel: Business expenses and hire car provided for work-related travel

• BPSS clearance
• PTS certification
• AC and DC competencies

What you\'ll be doing

You'll play a key role in delivering accurate survey information to support major rail infrastructure projects by:

• Leading topographical and rail infrastructure surveys
• Setting up and maintaining survey control networks
• Managing GNSS survey control and coordinate transformations (including SnakeGrid)
