Job description

Test Engineer / Inspection Engineer / Site Surveyor is required to join a global, leading valve manufacturer.

This role will be a hybrid position with the requirement to attend sites throughout the Midlands region, as well as occasional UK-wide travel and office/home working. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking detailed testing, inspection, and surveying of steam trap products including isolation valves, control valves, safety valves, actuators, and heat exchange packages.

Role Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed testing, inspection, and surveying of steam trap products including isolation valves, control valves, safety valves, actuators, and heat exchange packages.
• Conduct reports on steam trap system issues such as type and performance data.
• Troubleshoot steam trap system faults and improve system efficiency.
• Liaise with internal, external, and service engineering team professionals.
• Travel throughout the Midlands and occasional UK-wide site presence.

Requirements

• Experience as a Test Engineer / Inspection Engineer / Site Surveyor / Surveying Engineer / Survey Technician with knowledge of steam trap system products.
• Technical engineering qualification, HND, HNC, or similar is advantageous.
• Prior experience in conducting steam trap system surveys and/or industrial maintenance.
• Understanding of steam trap systems and steam trap operation.
• Must have a Full UK Driving Licence.
