Job summary

The Hepatitis C Trust is seeking a Peer Support Lead based across Surrey with extensive travel. You will engage communities, plan and run outreach to help people access healthcare, and deliver training on hepatitis C, HIV and liver health.

You will also supervise a team of volunteers with lived experience and bring energy, empathy, and practical support to the role. This role requires a clean driving licence and ownership of a vehicle for work travel, and offers full training and ongoing support

Qualifications

• Experience in outreach and engaging people who need support.
• Ability to mobilise volunteers and lead teams with lived experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver outreach to engage people who need support and help them access healthcare.
• Collaborate with partners in hostels, drug services and the NHS.
• Run training and workshops on hepatitis C, HIV and liver health.
• Conduct finger-prick blood tests as part of outreach activities.
• Lead and inspire a team of lived-experience volunteers.

Role will be based across Surrey and requires extensive travel. The post holder is required to hold a clean driving licence and have their own vehicle for work related travel.
