Job summary

Mitie is seeking a proactive Surplus Stock Controller to manage surplus stock and site waste streams across Pladis operations. The role reports to the Central Functional Lead and requires coordinating stock recovery, imperfect product processes, and performance reporting across sites.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the collection, tracking and sale of surplus and imperfect stock across multiple product categories.
• Maximise recovery value and revenue from surplus stock and waste streams.
• Deliver weekly and monthly sales performance against forecast targets.
• Build relationships with internal departments, external suppliers, and waste partners.
• Identify and escalate risks, issues and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Produce accurate weekly and monthly reports on stock recovery, sales performance, and waste stream activity.
• Maintain the Surplus Stock and Waste Dashboard, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.
• Provide key performance data including sales values, volumes and waste recovery metrics.
• Support Site Management Teams and the UK Waste Specialist through analysis and reporting.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve recovery performance.
