Qualifications

• Requires 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Certification CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT required.
• Virginia CST certification if resident in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and equipment for operative and invasive procedures.
• Provide supplies to the surgical team during procedures and maintain aseptic technique.
• Report implanted devices, catheters, drains, and packing to circulator.
• Prepare and perform surgical skin prep as indicated by procedure.
• Assist with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room.
• Demonstrates understanding of patients Advance Directives.
• Shows knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, lasers, MIS, laparoscopy, and robotics.
