Job summary

Northwood Hospital is seeking an Inventory System Lead to own surgical stock, implants, and clinical supplies across two operating theatres and inpatient areas. You will coordinate orders, manage high-cost items, and ensure case preparation aligns with operative lists.

The role requires NHS-style inventory experience, excellent organisation, and proactive problem-solving to keep lists fully supplied and ready for surgery.

Qualifications

• NHS experience in inventory, materials management or supply chain.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience managing clinical stock or consumables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of surgical picks and preparation for procedures.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and records in the inventory system.
• Coordinate orders and deliveries of implants and consumables.
• Check deliveries for accuracy and condition; manage minimum/maximum stock levels.
• Support audits and stock counts; liaise with suppliers and clinical teams.
