Job summary

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above or equivalent, Achieved/Working toward BTEC3 or NVQ3 in Decontamination or equivalent
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately and diligently, Self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Willingness to become familiar with many different instruments and sundries, and to communicate well within a team

Responsibilities

• Training to cover the full range of the decontamination cycle for surgical instruments and theatre sets
• Ability to identify several hundred surgical instruments
• Communicate well and work within a team, taking instruction
• Disclosure to DBS check as part of safeguarding requirements
