Purpose

As a Surgical Equipment Manager, you will develop and maintain a sales territory by promoting BVI’s capital equipment portfolio to ophthalmic surgeons and stakeholders. Your role involves building relationships, driving sales, and delivering value-based solutions across hospitals, surgery centers, and private clinics. Collaboration with internal teams is essential to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize business impact.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build and maintain relationships with customers, identifying unmet needs and offering BVI’s portfolio as a consultative solution.
  2. Conduct presentations and product demonstrations in operating rooms and via digital platforms.
  3. Sell capital equipment and consumables, securing new business and growing existing accounts.
  4. Support surgical evaluations, assisting with technique and instrument selection.
  5. Prospect new accounts through cold calling and market insights to meet sales targets.
  6. Use CRM data and field observations to understand market trends and inform strategies.
  7. Support the installed base by ensuring equipment performance and customer compliance.
  8. Lead the sales process from lead generation to post-sale support, collaborating with teams.
  9. Provide sales data and metrics to support commercial development.
  10. Work with Clinical Application team to promote best practices and address product adoption issues.
  11. Manage the vitreoretinal (VR) consumables portfolio associated with BVI’s surgical equipment.
Qualifications
  • Experience in capital equipment and/or medical device sales, preferably in ophthalmology or surgical environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong pre-call planning and territory management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Ability to analyze sales data for strategic decisions.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with high initiative.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the territory.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
