Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse to develop advanced nursing skills in the management of patients with endocrine diagnoses. Working with the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to a high-quality, patient-centred service, including organisation and participation in weekly MDT meetings, outpatient clinics, and nurse-led telephone clinics.

The successful candidate will have previous post-registration clinical experience in caring for patients with endocrine diagnoses. Applicants should possess excellent literacy, communication, organisational, and leadership skills, and be prepared to work within a flexible environment. Basic IT skills are required.

As part of the Endocrine and Breast Nursing Team, you will be supported in developing an understanding of the psychosocial needs of those affected by cancer, as well as advanced communication skills and the application of the Supportive and Palliative Care strategy (NICE 2004).

Your role will adopt a strategic approach to patient care, supporting colleagues to implement interventions that pre-empt potential problems, minimize crises, and promote autonomous working across primary and secondary care, utilizing clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
