Job summary
We're offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Clinical Nurse specialist to join our Surgical Breast Care Nursing Team. In this role you will participate in the provision of high quality care to patients diagnosed with breast cancer and their families throughout their surgical pathway. You will play an integral role in service development and work closely with the Multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
The main base is the Laurel Unit at Rugby St Cross, however there is cross site working at UHCW NHS TRUST. Own transport is required.

Main duties of the jobEnsuring a high standard of care for all patients with a diagnosis of breast cancer, providing a high standard of psycho social support for the patient and their family / carers from diagnosis of breast cancer, until referral for oncology treatment. You will act as an effective key worker and advocate for your patients, providing advice, support and signposting when necessary.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will support the Band 8a in leading the service and taking day to day responsibility for the Breast Care Nursing Team, helping to coordinate care and maintain high standards.
