Job summary

VerseOne Group is seeking an autonomous Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join the Surgical Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit. You will assess, diagnose, and manage patients within your scope, underpinned by evidence-based knowledge and current clinical guidelines.

The role involves working in the surgical ED, ordering investigations, and supporting patients and carers throughout the surgical journey in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• The candidate must be registered and eligible to practise as an advanced clinical practitioner or nurse practitioner.
• Experience in surgical emergency care and rapid assessment is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously assess, diagnose, and manage patients within scope of practice in SDEC.
• Order and interpret investigations to support patient care decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan and implement treatment.
• Provide information, support and education to patients and carers throughout the surgical pathway.
