Job summary
The Royal Veterinary College in Hatfield is seeking a Surgery Ward Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to develop their nursing career in caring for patients in our surgery ward. You will work with specialist clinicians, residents, interns, RVNs and Patient Care Assistants on a range of interesting and challenging cases.
The role focuses on surgical nursing with exposure to neurology cases, post-operative rehabilitation, and hands-on nursing for Orthopaedic, Soft tissue and Ophthalmology patients.
Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Nurse keen to specialise in surgical nursing.
- Hands-on nursing for Orthopaedic, Soft tissue and Ophthalmology patients.
- Postoperative rehabilitation support with dedicated training provided.

- Care for patients in the surgery ward as part of a specialist team.

We have an exciting opportunity for an RVN keen to develop their nursing career in caring for patients in our surgery ward. Working as part of a team of specialist clinicians, residents, interns, RVNs and Patient Care Assistants you will be involved in a range of interesting and challenging cases.
This position is ideal for an RVN keen to develop their nursing career and specialise in surgical nursing with some exposure to neurology cases. You can expect hands on nursing of various surgical conditions including Orthopaedic, Soft tissue and Ophthalmology patients. In addition, you will be involved in assisting with postoperative rehabilitation of patients. Referral nursing experience is not required as full specialist training and support will be provided.
