Job Title: Surfacing Site Supervisor

Our client, one of the UK's largest and most successful Surface & Highways Companies, is looking for a Surfacing Site Supervisor to work on a range of surfacing projects such as Highways, Retail, Rail, Aviation, Commercial, and Defence.

The Surfacing Site Supervisor will be responsible for implementing and promoting the company's health and safety policies, supervising surfacing works, and assisting the Contracts Manager in the day-to-day management and delivery of the project. The supervisor will ensure that the project aligns with safety, quality, cost control, and delivery timelines to meet the client's satisfaction. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a similar role within Highways or surfacing and hold a valid NRSWA and SMSTS Card.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and comply with all Health and Safety requirements
• Produce forward programmes for the Contracts Manager, including material, labour, and plant requirements
• Monitor progress of work programmes and advise on adjustments during the period
• Undertake site inspections and safety tours
• Complete L, P & M Return
• Raise NCRs and provide supporting documentation
• Manage operations to ensure optimal resource utilization
• Liaise with commercial and QS teams to maximize contract value
• Ensure surfacing and asphalt experience is applied effectively
• Maintain CSCS, SMSTS certifications
• Conduct site measurements
• Understand CDM regulations and relevant standards and specifications
• Deal with the commercial aspects, capturing all costs and potential value streams
• Understand operational procedures and programme outputs to plan works effectively
