Surfacing Manager / Site Manager

Location: Bellshill, Glasgow
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum
Working Arrangement: 5 days per week on site (no remote working)

Role Overview

The Surfacing Manager / Site Manager will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management and delivery of surfacing operations across site, overseeing multiple gangs and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate two surfacing teams, ensuring all activities are delivered in accordance with project specifications, programme timelines, and quality standards. Oversee daily site operations, including planning works, allocating labour, plant, and materials to meet delivery targets. Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with approved method statements and risk assessments, maintaining a strong focus on health and safety throughout.

Supervise site activities to ensure productivity, performance, and high standards of workmanship are consistently achieved. Liaise with project stakeholders, including site engineers, subcontractors, and senior management, to ensure effective communication and smooth delivery of works. Monitor progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions where required.

Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, permits, and quality documentation. Ensure all plant, equipment, and workforce are compliant and operating safely. Promote best practice and lead by example to maintain a positive safety culture on site.
