Job summary

The Lubrizol Corporation, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a Research Scientist to join the Analytical and Physical Science group within the R&D division. You will apply surface science and materials analysis to deliver innovative solutions for current and new business areas, leading projects from concept to completion.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in Chemistry or Materials Science, with hands-on SEM/TEM, XPS or Auger experience, and strong communication skills to collaborate across

• PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related discipline.
• Laboratory experience in surface science and materials analysis.
• Hands-on expertise with SEM/TEM, EDS, XPS, or Auger spectroscopy.
• Ability to integrate multiple analytical techniques.
• Strong understanding of material properties and performance.
• Project management and prioritization skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency with scientific and IT tools.
