Are you skilled in operating and maintaining SMT equipment? Are you adept at working with fine pitch components? Our client, an organisation specialising in electronics manufacturing, is seeking a Surface Mount Technician to join their team. This is a temporary-to-permanent role with negotiable salary, offering an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.

Main Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain SMT Pick & Place machines, ensuring adherence to strict health and safety guidelines.
• Use screen-printing machines for efficient operations.
• Programme and set up P&P machines for optimal performance.
• Programme and maintain reflow ovens.
• Perform PCB assembly, including SMT and PTH soldering.
• Carry out cable assembly using crimp tools.
• Engage in electromechanical assembly.
• Work from customer BOM's and drawings to ensure manufacturing meets required standards.
• Conduct PCBA rework as needed.

Experience / Skills / Qualifications:

• Essential ability to operate Pick & Place machines.
• Off-line programming experience with P&P machines (Juki etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent component recognition and knowledge.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
