Job summary

Arnest is seeking a SURF Interface Lead Engineer to join our energy team in the United Kingdom. You will lead interface management for the SURF scope, coordinating exchanges between the SURF EPC Contractor and SPS/FPSO/Drilling contractors on large-scale deepwater projects.

The role requires a Master’s degree in engineering and 10+ years in SURF/EPCI environments, with proven ability to resolve interface clashes and run technical workshops.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• 10+ years of experience in a similar SURF/EPCI role within deepwater oil projects.
• Strong expertise in SURF and SPS/FPSO scopes (risers/umbilicals hook-ups, pre-commissioning).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate interface exchanges between SURF EPC Contractor and other Contractors (SPS, FPSO, Drilling).
• Track and maintain the interface register for completeness and timely updates.
• Ensure SURF Contractor compliance with interface battery limits and design data; resolve clashes and organize workshops.
• Set up and manage the interface control system (New Prodom module) for the SURF package.
• Manage CPIs and handover of technical data and equipment; coordinate external contractor mobilization.
