Job description

Take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and become one of our Supporting Volunteers. You will get to meet new people in our offices (known as 'hubs') or online from home. As a Supporting Volunteer, you will assist with data collection, analysis, administration, and presentation, as well as carrying out useful surveys to help us maintain our records.

As a Supporting Volunteer, you will feel part of the team, with plenty of opportunities to learn about subjects like carbon accounting, energy consumption, and climate adaptation. You will make a difference by presenting important and complex information clearly and simply to help inform decisions within the Trust.

Why we want you

Our Supporter volunteers ensure that the day-to-day operations of the waterways run smoothly, whether that involves monitoring activities on the towpath or supporting team operations behind the scenes. This can include working with our Social Media Team or assisting with location and filming for productions. Supporting Volunteers also support our teams within offices and on the Towpath by conducting audits.

  • This role can potentially be done from home
  • When you register as a volunteer, we will ask you about any unspent convictions which you need to declare and risk assess these as needed
