Improving financial wellbeing and building resilience
The Hull Money Team brings together expertise and support to help residents access the right advice and assistance at the right time, improving financial wellbeing and helping prevent difficulties from escalating into crisis.
We are looking for dedicated Supporting People Caseworkers to join our team. This is an opportunity to support people facing financial challenges, helping them access services, overcome barriers and work towards greater stability and independence.
Working as part of a supportive and collaborative environment, you will engage with individuals experiencing a range of circumstances and help them access practical support tailored to their needs. You will also work closely with colleagues and partner organisations to help ensure people receive coordinated and timely assistance.
The Supporting People Caseworker will be part of Hull City Council Advice Services, alongside the Welfare Rights Service, reporting to the Advice Services Manager.
The role supports the delivery of a programme aimed at strengthening community resilience and improving outcomes for local people through partnership working and improved access to services and opportunities.
Funded through the Crisis Resilience Fund, the postholder will work as part of the Hull Money Team to provide person-centred, trauma-informed casework to vulnerable residents at risk of financial crisis. Acting as a first point of contact, they will assess needs, identify immediate risks, and support residents to access appropriate advice, financial support and wider resilience services.
The postholder will work proactively to overcome barriers to engagement, coordinate support across Hull Money Team services and partner organisations, and remain involved until residents' circumstances have stabilised and they are better equipped to manage future challenges independently.
