Overview

WR Fundraising Recruitment are excited to once again be working with a national charity focussing on a range of community support from financial and welfare through to mental health and wellbeing programmes.

As part of the charity’s ambitious growth and development plan, we are looking for a Supporter Care Officer / Fundraiser to join the fundraising team to provide the highest levels of customer care to the charity’s supporters and donors.

Role title: Supporter Care Officer / Fundraiser

Contract: Full-time Permanent

Location: Oxfordshire with Flexible and Hybrid Working

On-site requirement: 2 days per week on site

Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

Key responsibilities
  • Delivering the highest level of frontline service to all donors and prospective supporters, building strong and loyal relationships through written and verbal communications
  • Dealing with a variety of donor enquiries, problem solving and deliver positive outcomes for our supporters
  • Ensuring efficient administration of donations and maintenance of accurate database records
  • Being the first point of contact for existing and potential supporters
  • Act as an ambassador for the fundraising team, responding to enquiries or picking up donations and/or collections, thanking donors for their support
  • Accurately inputting and processing donations (cash & cheques) to ensure income records are up to date and accurate
  • Creating and sending tailored thank you’s to supporters
  • Accurately managing and updating supporter records on the database
Ideal candidate
  • Experience of working in a similar role within a fundraising environment, and knowledge of what makes excellent customer care
  • Experience processing donations, handling supporter requests and juggling multiple projects
  • A track record of cultivating effective relationships with varied audiences – ideally in fundraising with supporters / donors
  • Experience of providing timely and warm communications that leave supporters feeling appreciated and valued
  • Experience of using and accurately maintaining databases
  • Knowledge of GDPR best practice
