Buckinghamshire Mind is looking for a Supported Self Help Practitioner.
The Supported Self Help Practitioner is responsible for supporting a caseload of clients to work through self help resources and plays a key role in our Prevention Services and our partnership with Citizens Advice Bucks. The purpose of this role is to work 1:1 with people who are experiencing financial struggles, providing information, signposting and guidance through self help resources.

We promote wellbeing and recovery; we prevent mental ill health; we offer talking therapies and we provide support in times of crisis.
Key Responsibilities
Supported Self Help is an early intervention service co-produced by national Mind and Local Minds and informed by Lived Experience. Clients seeking support at Citizens Advice Bucks will be referred to support self help based on their needs.
- Manage your own calendar and a caseload of clients.
- Understand the needs of clients and support them through different self help pathways.
- Refer clients to higher levels of intervention when required and/or signposting to other services that might help them to maintain their wellbeing.
The ideal candidate will have
- Relevant experience or qualifications for the role equivalent to NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Experience providing mental health/wellbeing services in a primary care setting.
- A person centred approach and the ability to listen and empathise with people in a non-judgemental way, motivating them to engage in self help activities.
