Minstead Trust in Portsmouth is seeking a dedicated Supported Living Support Worker to help neuro‑disabled people build skills, confidence and independence through practical, compassionate support.

You’ll be based mainly in Portsmouth Services, with occasional work in Day Opportunities and Outreach. Shifts vary, including weekends and sleep-ins; a full UK driving licence is preferred to support in-work travel.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting neuro disabled people is desirable.
• Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rota.
• Full UK driving licence preferred (in-work travel paid).
• Excellent communication and teamwork required.

Responsabilités

• Support neuro disabled individuals with daily living tasks (cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Assist with personal, social and healthcare needs and education activities.
• Maintain accurate records and undertake keyworking responsibilities.

Days: Varied shifts (incl. weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins)

About the role

As a Support Worker, you’ll work directly with neuro disabled people, helping to build their skills, confidence and independence. No two days are the same, but your impact always is.

You’ll work both as a part of our Portsmouth Services Area predominantly within Supported living but occasionally within our Day Opportunities and Outreach support.

You’ll be supporting people with:

• Daily living tasks (cooking, cleaning, shopping)
• Personal, social and healthcare needs
• Attending university, education and activities
• Achieving goals around health, wellbeing and independence
• Community involvement and social opportunities
• Key working responsibilities and accurate record‑keeping

What we’re looking for

• Motivated, caring and approachable individuals
• Experience supporting neuro disabled people (desirable)
• Great communication skills and a team‑player attitude
• Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rota
• Level 2 Health & Social Care (desirable) – training provided
