At Avon Support Ltd, we are currently recruiting support workers to join our growing friendly team for our supported living services.

In our supported living services, you will encourage people we support to make their own choices and live as independently as possible, providing companionship and encouragement and taking care of their wellbeing. As a support worker, you will assist with household duties such as laundry, cleaning, shopping, and getting ready for the day. You will also support with dressing, bathing, and toileting.

Support worker role and responsibilities:

• Previous experience in a support worker role is desirable but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in organizing and facilitating group activities.
• Knowledge of inclusive and accessible community resources.
• Flexibility for sleeps, weekend, and evening shifts.
• Providing companionship and encouragement.
• Household tasks, meal preparation, and shopping.
• Monitoring health conditions, assisting with medication, attending healthcare appointments.
• Ensuring safety and wellbeing, reporting concerns.
• Collaborating with families and care professionals.
