Mears Supported Living Ltd is seeking Support Workers to assist our adult service users with learning disabilities or mental health conditions. Join a company that values your dedication to our community.

We serve the Forth Valley areas, including Clackmannanshire, Stirling, and Falkirk. Drivers with their own vehicles and willingness to travel are preferred. Mileage is paid at 35p per mile, excluding commuting. We aim to prioritize local work whenever possible.

Role overview

As a Support Worker, you will provide support to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues, or physical disabilities, helping them live fulfilling lives and participate in their community. Your duties may involve working one-on-one or as part of a team.

Main responsibilities

  1. Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, medication, and financial management.
  2. Support the development and maintenance of friendships and community involvement.
  3. Help individuals achieve their personal goals as outlined in their Care Plans.
  4. Encourage participation in social, recreational, and leisure activities.
  5. Assist in updating Personal Plans as needed.
  6. Provide sleepover support if required.
  7. Advocate for vulnerable adults, supporting them with appointments, activities, budgeting, and independent living tasks.

Personal responsibilities

  1. Promote a positive attitude toward those supported.
  2. Work flexibly to meet individual needs.
  3. Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
