A leading care provider in Watford is looking for a Service Manager to oversee supported living services for adults with complex needs. The role requires strong leadership and knowledge of CQC standards. You will be responsible for managing staff, budgets, and ensuring high-quality care. Job description

Working at The Avenue, you will be supporting 6 adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex support. One service user needs support with a personality disorder.

There is free parking for staff and visitors, and the service is a brick-built building with a large garden and patio area. Excellent transport links are available, with 3 train stations and buses nearby.

Mildred House is a Supported Living service for 6 individuals with complex needs, currently supporting 3 males and 3 females. The service provides tailored support around the individuals' needs, working with them to develop their daily living skills, confidence, and choice-making skills.

About the Services

The Avenue supports adults with learning disabilities in a welcoming, well-maintained service with spacious, nicely decorated flats and a large garden with patio. Mildred Avenue is a Supported Living service designed for individuals with complex needs, providing person-centered support to promote independence within the community.

Your Role

Lead and direct the day-to-day management of both services, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care in line with CQC standards. Supervise, mentor, and develop staff teams, and oversee support plans tailored to each individual's needs and aspirations.

Manage budgets, health & safety, and compliance requirements, and build strong relationships with service users, families, and external agencies. Drive service improvement and quality outcomes.

Requirements
  • Proven experience managing a residential or supported living service
  • Strong knowledge of CQC frameworks and quality assurance
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to achieve)
  • Resilient, compassionate leadership style with excellent communication skills
  • Passion for supporting vulnerable adults and delivering high safeguarding standards
