Supported Learning Section Manager – FE College – Uxbridge – Permanent

Location: Hayes and Uxbridge
Salary: £46,543 to £50,646 per annum including London Weighting

At Clarus Education, we are supporting the recruitment of an FE College seeking an exceptional educational leader to spearhead their new SEND centre opening in September 2025.

This is a rare opportunity to shape provision from the ground up in a purpose-built facility designed to improve educational outcomes for students with learning difficulties and disabilities.

The new campus will offer a high-quality inclusive learning environment for over 60 SEND students, including those with severe learning needs. It will feature on-site therapies, sensory rooms, medical services, multi-disciplinary teams, and classrooms equipped with advanced technology.

The Role - Supported Learning Section Manager

Reporting to the Head of School for Supported Learning, you will:

  1. Lead the development and management of all provision at this new campus
  2. Line manage academic and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence
  3. Teach across various SEND programmes, maintaining classroom practice engagement
  4. Drive curriculum innovation for students with diverse learning needs

What You'll Need - Supported Learning Section Manager

We seek a passionate SEND professional with:

  1. Degree-level qualification or equivalent
  2. Level 5 teaching qualification recognized by the FE sector
  3. At least 3 years' recent teaching experience in Supported Learning (SEND)
  4. Deep knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
  5. Strong understanding of Functional Skills and RARPA
  6. Excellent leadership skills with team management experience in FE or similar
  7. A commitment to inclusive education and improving SEND outcomes
