Job summary

Cheshire College - South & West is seeking a Supported Internship Co-ordinator to join our Ellesmere Port and Crewe Campus. This permanent, part‑time role (15 hours per week) offers a salary of £32,579 - £36,656 pro rata per annum.

Key duties include coordinating the internship programme with employers and arranging learner support.

Qualifications

  • Assessor qualification or equivalent required.
  • A Level/Level 3 and GCSE English/Maths at grade C or above.
  • Experience establishing and coordinating work experience/internship opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the Supported Internship programme with employers.
  • Arrange the support required for learners on Supported Internships.

Job description

Supported Internship Co-ordinator

Salary: £32,579 - £36,656 (pro rata per annum)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 15 per week

Location: Ellesmere Port and Crewe Campus

We are seeking a Supported Internship Co-ordinator to join our team at our Ellesmere Port and Crewe Campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinating the Supported Internship programme;
  • Working with employers to establish internship opportunities; and
  • Co-ordinating the support required for learners on Supported Internships.
Key Person Specification Requirements
  • Assessor Qualification;
  • Educated to A Level / Level 3 standard
  • GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths
  • Significant experience of establishing and coordinating work experience/internship opportunities, including for learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities;
  • High level of ability in supporting learners with learning difficulties/disabilities to overcome barriers and achieve success in the workplace;
  • Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
  • Up-to-date occupational experience; and
  • Enhanced DBS check
