Job description

We’re on the lookout for a Supported Housing Superstar to help make a real difference in people’s lives and become a vital part of their journey from homelessness to independence.

You’ll be joining our passionate team on a fixed-term contract until the end of March, supporting individuals to build resilience, maintain safe accommodation, and take steps toward a brighter future.

We run several projects and every year we help thousands of people out of homelessness, into employment, away from domestic abuse, and more. Job Role: Supported Housing Worker
Salary: £22,543.27 per year (full time equivalent £25,235)
Hours: 33.5 hours per week
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Exeter
Additional information:
- Participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota


The Role:
Join our Exeter Supported Housing Service as a Supported Housing Worker, where you'll play a key role in helping clients maintain safe accommodation, manage personal finances, and access multi-agency support.

You’ll work with individuals facing complex challenges—such as trauma, mental health issues, and substance misuse—empowering them to build resilience and move towards independent living. With 11 supported units across Exeter, you’ll help ensure high standards of safety, effective referrals, and meaningful progress for each client.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering direct support and housing management services to clients
- Building strong partnerships with local agencies
- Keeping client records accurate, clear, and up to date
- Tracking referrals into the service
- Creating a safe, supportive and empowering environment that promotes personal growth and sustainable move-on

Since job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the post holder may be required to undertake other duties, which are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities

- Experience working with people who may have complex needs and/or challenging behaviours
- Understanding of the causes of homelessness and social exclusion and the approaches which seek to address these
