We're looking for a compassionate and confident Team Manager to lead our supported housing services for young people aged 16+. You'll work across two semi-independent living homes in Poole and Bournemouth supporting both the young people and the dedicated team around them.

This is more than a management role. It’s a chance to shape lives, build resilience, and help young people recover, thrive and embrace independence.

Long-term job security with an established, expanding provider
Competitive salary – reviewed annually
25 days’ holiday + Bank Holidays
Long-service awards up to £2,000
Funded Blue Light Card
Access to Employee Assistance Programme
Career development & funded qualifications (incl. NVQ 5)
In-house psychotherapist for additional specialist support
A warm, experienced team with strong management backing

Induction and training from day one

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading and motivating a small team of Support Workers who work around the clock overseeing the care of adolescents and young people, aged 16+ in semi-independent, supported housing

Ensuring safety, compliance and consistency in line with Ofsted, Supported Housing Regulations 2023, and Beaufort’s standards

Championing safeguarding, child protection, and best-practice care planning
Acting as a mentor and role model, offering guidance to your team and the young people

Building professional relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally including Management teams, Social Workers, Tutors, Police & Local Authority teams

Managing day-to-day operations, including rota planning, referrals, budgets, HR, health & safety, and property maintenance

Promoting independence of the young people and helping them navigate positively towards adulthood

Occasional lone working will be required

What You’ll Bring

Leadership experience in supported housing and young people

Strong understanding of young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, particularly those with trauma backgrounds

Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (or equivalent) — and a willingness to work toward NVQ 5 (fully funded)

Resilience, emotional intelligence, and a good sense of humour

Confident communication style, excellent organisation and IT skills

Comfortable working alone and as part of a small, committed team
